    Details

  • We’ve arranged a complimentary bus to transfer you to and from the venue. The bus will run between a few pickup points around Byron Bay before arriving at the venue at 10:30. It will drop you back to the same locations after the reception. For pickup locations and times, check back here closer to the date!

(There’s a small carpark, but wedding vendors will need full use of it on the day.)

  • Fancy garden formal. Dress to impress for an outdoor, daytime ceremony.

Translation: If you’ve got something delightfully fancy wasting away in your wardrobe that you never get the excuse to wear, we’d love for our wedding to be that excuse. Don’t worry about being too “extra” – just wear whatever makes you feel fabulous. Wearing white is more than welcome because Grace won’t be. ;)

October in Byron Bay is spring, so you can expect a warm, sunny day with temperatures in the early 20s and a little bit of humidity.

What not to wear: Any shoe that doesn’t work well on gravel or grass.

  • We’ll be having an unplugged ceremony, with guest phones and cameras 100% out of sight so we can be in the moment together. Our photographer Aimee Catt is a legend, and we want to give her space to do her thang.

If you’d like Grace to lovingly hurl your phone into the branches of the restaurant’s eponymous Fig Tree, feel free to take it out during the ceremony. ;)

For the rest of the day, snap away and send us your pics! We’ll also provide disposable cameras.

  • You’ll be well-fed with plenty of delicious snacks throughout the morning, followed by a late long lunch starting at 2pm.

Drinks-wise, expect a hand-picked selection of beer, wine, cocktails, and plenty of delish alcohol-free options.

Please let us know about dietaries in your RSVP, so we make sure you’re comfy and cared for.

  • To keep the wedding intimate, we’re not extending invites for plus ones that aren’t already on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding, and look forward to celebrating with you!

Although we love your little ones, this wedding will be an adult-only affair too. We hope it will allow you a much-deserved day off to celebrate with us! We’re even leaving our pup Margot at home in solidarity.

For babysitting, the team at Fig Tree recommend Rugrats Helping Hands and Coastal Babysitters.

  • Your presence is really, truly the only present we need. Should you wish to write us a card, there’ll be a box at the ceremony and reception for you. To contribute to our honeymoon, visit our online wishing well.
